Dentists concentrate on treating problems with teeth and gums but our dental hygienists also have a really important role. They help patients to stop problems arising by taking care of their gums and by scaling and polishing teeth. They ensure patients understand the importance of cleaning their teeth correctly. They also undertake preventive procedures such as applying fluoride and fissure sealants.
